This reminds me of the 90s movie Mumbaki. A Mumbaki is a “prayer sayer” of the Ifugao people. Mumbakis are religious leaders of the Ifugao tradition. The movie Mumbaki was about a modern-day young doctor who faces dilemma as he happens to succeed his slain father as an Ifugao tribal leader.
